This is a summer variety originating from New Zealand. This is the only summer apple variety for which the quality has been accepted gradually all over the world. One reason for this is that some of its clones bear much more colorful fruit.
The tree is quite strong. The tree bears fruit quickly and regularly.
These trees require measured thinning out and pruning to obtain fruits of sufficient size.
The fruits are medium in size. 40 – 60% of its skin is covered with orange-red lines.
The flesh of the fruit is very hard and crunchy, has a sweet taste and is juicy. It can be stored for a long time.
Harvest time is in the second and third ten-day period of August.
